For a person who receives free rent, and free living expenses; how much money (for food), would a person need, to survive for 5 months?

Like: One person, Two meals per day. Not a big eater.

$750 if you can eat for $5 a day. Cooking homemade foods are much more economical than eating out.

Does your plan include eating out ?? If so then better save up $2000 depending upon where you will be eating.

Depends...what are your spending habits? Do you have a car? Do you need to pay for health insurance? Bus passes or public transportation? If you have free rent and everything and only need to eat and have a few other expenses, depending on what city you live in I guess you could scrape by for $400-$500 per month. Good luck!
