I just read Map of Bones by James Rollins. Is there any science regarding m-state metals and superconductors?

It sounded good in the book, but I didn't know if any there were any actual science theories on this, or if it is pure fiction. Either way, I recomend the book.

Sounds like fiction to me. The scientists mostly appear
to laugh it off as wishful thinking and delusion as far as i
can tell.

M - state metals and superconductors do actually exist though. Application and what can be accomplished is where the controversy is.
