You could apply for financial aid by filling out the FAFSA. You'll probably be offered student loans in, but you could also end up getting some grants (free money) along with it. You don't ever have to accept loans. If you are going to do the FAFSA, fill it out as soon as possible. Deadline is Mar. for the 2007-2008 school year.
Also trying to going to scholarship Web sites and see what kind of scholarships you are qualified for. You can get a scholarship for writing 300 words about the kind superhero you most admire or for being left-handed. They are competitive though.
But money is out there, you just have to look for it.

If you live in the US and are not in default on previous student loans, you may qualify for a Pell Grant. I don't know if it covers online courses but you could give it a shot. Contact us department of education or follow this link

I do know that if you are going to an accredited school and most of your classes are online, it should cover it or at least part.

Talk to the Financial Aid department at the school - you may qualify for a Pell grant or some other aid.
