Limewire? RealPlayer?

Step away from the computer, and put down the RealPlayer!

Seriously - I have no clue about Limewire (and if these are illegal downloads, may you rot from Hansen's Disease). But when you install RealPlayer, it should ask if you want it to be your default. Of course, once you do that, this thing will be a bigger nightmare than Rumplestiltsken - but, hey. It's your PC, and your life.

If you've already installed RealPlayer but not set it as default (smart choice), you should be able to open it up again, and in the Options, select it as the default player (thus, exposing the evil - but doing what you want).

Good luck (unless you're playing illegal downloads, as I mentioned above)...

Asssuming that I'm understanding your question.. You would right click on the movie/video that you're looking for.. Go down to properties..

Then where it says open with.. Change it from what ever it is.. To the Realplayer.

It might ask you for downloads simply for updated drivers. Something new could've been added. Could be any number of reasons. I would download what ever it asks you for. And go from there.

If it says that you need to download something, then you do, it's more than likely a codec that you need which is just a compatibility tool. And you can go to the options in real player to set it as your default media player. I can't recall the exact path to the settings offhand - i have not used real player in a while.
