I've lived with my boyfriend for 2 years and we have photo albums together but for v-day I was going to make him a scrapbook of us. Do you think thats a good idea? I wanted to do something different and thoughtful.

it is. if i would receive something like that from my girlfriend, then my valentine's day couldn't be better.
i really think that it's a great gift for v-day! it shows that you give great importance to all your memories together.

Don't take this the wrong way, but a scrapbook sounds awfully "girly". Are you sure it isn't more something that you want to do, rather than a gift he would like? Anyway, that's just my initial reaction to it. If your bf loves the photo albums and scrapbooks, then he should like the gift. If not, perhaps there is another common interest that would give you a good gift idea - a concert, show, game, etc.

Like others have said it is really a women's holiday. The scrapbook is neat and by all means do it but it is more of a couple thing.
One year my wife gave me a "Man Basket". Sure there were some cookies, a card and some other valentines day stuff but.... also included was a Best Buy gift certificate, a bottle of vodka, etc.

You know your boyfriend. Most would rather go to a game or dinner. The scrapbook will end up in the bottom of the closet

It would be great for you. I don't think a man would feel the same way that us women do. Something a little more romantic for a man, night in the hot tub for two. If you don't have a hot tub, rent a hotel with one. Take lots of pictures. Men are more about the moment, whats happening now.

i think it is thoughtful. however, he is a guy so he will probably not get too excited! guys are not really into that kind of stuff. now if he opened a box with sexy lingerie, a picture of you in it, some condoms, and the scrapbook, maybe he would get excited. guys just aren't as sentimental as we are.

Sounds like a nice idea, although keep in mind that guys aren't as sentimental as we are, so try not to be disappointed if he doesn't give the reaction you are hoping for. I'm sure he'll appreciate it.

That really depends on him. One guy might LOVE the idea while another is lost when it comes to sentimental stuff.

I guess that would depend on how "girlie" your boyfriend is.... Some guys won't really care for it, it sounds like something he should have done for you, i'm betting you'll appreciate it more.
