what are cookies and how do you clear them??

You can clear them by going to the tools menu, options (or internet options) then clicking the delete cookies button.
Cookies can do a variety of things. Some of them help configure the way your browser shows things, but most of them track your usage of the site. They might remember your log-in information so that next time you come to the site it shows you what you last looked at (such as a shopping cart). Others can be bad, and can report back to websites what type of surfing you do, but a good-virus program will protect you from real harm.

Cookies are just small files used to -
a. remember info about your visits to various sites, to save your settings for these sites, keep you logged in, etc.
b. allow the sites themselves to tracks your use of their site (most people aren't crazy about this and as a result delete cookies - see following on how to do this).

Recommend the following be done on a regular (at least weekly if not daily) basis for good house-keeping on your computer - you will not lose programs, games, etc.
1. INTERNET EXPLORER - Internet Options - General - Delete Cookies - Yes
2. INTERNET EXPLORER - Internet Options - General - Delete Files - Check "Delete all offline content" - OK

Cookies show a history of the webpages you've visited and store the picture so that next time you visit that site, it doesn't take as long to connect. To delete them go in your browser, under TOOLS, hit internet options, then in the GENERAL tab you can click delete files and DELETE COOKIES. Allright, hope this has helped you avoid punishment from looking at porn.

i download google toolbar it works great mantaining cookies away..gluck

open my computer and right clik c drive and it wil clean up all ahnging ones
