I am 12 weeks pregnant. Everyone say's they can't believe I am not showing yet. This is my 4th child and they say I should be showing by now. I had an ultra sound and the baby looks perfect. My lower abdomen is hard and round. But, it is not sticking out. I am just tired of people asking me why i am not showing yet. What are you supposed to say to that?

Just say that you are only actually 3 months along. The majority of pregnant women don't start showing until they are 4-5 months, and that it will prob be showing more in a month or 2.
I hate it when people poke their noses in too far!

I didn't show until very late with my first. One lady actually said to me "you're five months and not showing. Are you sure there's not something wrong with the baby?" And this stupid cow had two children and a third she had lost to stillbirth, so there was no excuse for her insensitivity!
Just smile and bite your tongue and try to say something about how lucky you are, then let it be. People are stupid, and become even more stupid around pregnant women. You and your baby are both healthy--that's the only important thing.

Just tell them that everyone is different and eventually you will start to show. ( some women do not show until 5-6 months and as late as 8 months) Just keep your mind on that little baby growing inside of you....that is what matters the most!!!

You could say 'Every pregnancy is different and I'll be showing soon enough.' That both acknowledges their comment as well as gives the signal that you're finished discussing it. Then you can change the subject. Good luck!

It is a form of flattery. Would you rather have them tell you the truth "you look like a fattened pig". Besides, they are not doctors. Maybe your body structure and physical shape muscle wise is better than theirs. So a remark like "Yeah, well the doctor noted that I didn't let myself go (like other women he has seen)."
That ought to shut them up proper.

Just say, guess I am lucky. You dont have to wear those big smocks for a while. Thats cool. They are nosey and rude, thats all. Dont let it ruin your day.
