I have Verizon. Sometimes, When I send a text message on my phone, it will say "message sent." However, when I check my outbox, it says that the messsage was only sent, and not delievered. Usually, it will report in the sentbox that the message was sent and delivered. Does this mean the reciever is in a low service area?

I have Verizon. That usually means the phone was off or out of service area. The message is usually picked up the minute one of those changes. When you look @ your messages sent there will be one check for a message sent. When you see two checks it means it was received though not necessarily read.

Sent means that it was successfully submitted to the short message centre. delivered means that the message centre has successfully delivered it to the destination. So yes, it is likely to mean that the destination is either off or not in a good reception area.

Make sure you have the delivery receipt option turned on, otherwise the phone won't be told when the message was successfully delivered

Yes it does mean that it is in a low service area and you need to get into a better area to send some text messages.
