Considering it was pouring down raining, I think Prince did a pretty good job. I'm sure had the elements been in his favor, the show would have been awesome.
But I have to agree with you about U2. I was in tears. I think one of the worst I ever saw was the Motown thing they tried to throw together. I can't remember the year but they had Queen Latifah and I think Boys 2 Men. It was so long ago but I remember that it was pretty bad.

Prince wasn't that great. Janet Jackson ruined it for all the younger bands and signers. Now all we have are old people like Prince, the Rolling Stones, and Paul Mcartney. Not that the Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney aren't good, but it would be nice to have some modern day band/singer.

Whether you like him or not, you cannot deny the fact that the man is a musical genius and has a fan base larger than you could ever imagine. I don't appreciate everyone undermining him when he could have easily refused to perform in the rain considering who he is. I definitely enjoyed his performance, it was the only portion of the Superbowl that I watched. And to everyone dissing the bandana, IT WAS RAINING. The man didn't want his hair to get wet!

I really didn't think Prince was all that great. I agree with you that U2's performance was one of the best. I don't know why they can't come up with bigger acts than Prince.

It wasnt a bad performance by Prince; he kept it fairly clean, and did a good job. The only problem I saw was his fancy purple guitar was badly out of tune. U2 was ok, I think the worst performance was Paul McCartney. His song "Freedom" absolutely sucked.

I was actually surprised with Prince's performance last night. I am not a fan of his but I really enjoyed his half time show. He is a very talented singer and guitar player. But he's still weird

Yes, considering the weather conditions. The old Prince would'nt have even came out and did the performance. There were no half nude dancers or simulated sex scenes, which is what people still want to see from him,in the act. He has matured alot but is still a great perfomer.

It was terrible. The Super Bowl does not know how to pick a good performer.

Eh, it wasn't the best I've seen, but it wasn't the worst.
Yeah the U2 one was one of the good ones.
We discussed the Janet Jackson ordeal during first hour today.

I don't mind Prince much, but who's the genius who decided he should sing at a FOOTBALL event? Prince is about as non-masculine as you can get.
