I have been trying to convieve since May of '06 and got succesful about 3 months ago but when I went to get an ultrasound at 10 wks. the baby was no longer with us. I had a DNE the day after and (the day before thanksgiving) and we have since been trying but can't seem to be succesful, we already have a wonderful 2 year old but can't seem to figure out what could be wrong? Any answers or any tips on what I should do? I want to see a specialist to make sure nothing is wrong but I am scared that they won't have any answers or that I am worrying over nothing. I know it takes time and effort to have a baby but I think I have given it my all and cant be successful. Please I am open to any comments please help. Thanks.

Firstly, I am sorry to hear of the loss of your baby - I know how hard that can be.

Secondly, You need to give you body time to get back to normal after any pregnancy, especially so after a miscarriage, as your womb will not be up to the challenge of catering for a new baby for a good few months after being home to another baby.

I think you need to take a couple of months off from baby-making, give yourselves a break and relax - I know it's hard, but you need to take your mind off trying for another baby. If finances allow, try a short break away, even if its just for a weekend, take your toddler with you and just enjoy being with each other and make him/her feel special, as they will be confused, even if they don't know the details, kids can pick up on tension in their parents and they will wonder if its them that's caused it.

Once you really are truly ready to try and conceive, then you should be having sex every other day - except around ovulation, when you should be doing it every day. During sex, keep a pillow under your bottom - this will heighten you pleasure, as well as provide easier access for the sperm to reach your cervix. Afterwards, lay down with your legs together and up in the air, preferably against a wall, and stay so for at least half an hour, as this will ensure as much sperm as possible has the possiblity of reaching the egg.

Also, make sure you take a good selection of multi-vitamins and folic acid, avoid smoking and smoke filled areas, and only take minimal amounts of alcohol - or none. Eat a healthy, balanced diet with plenty of dark green veg and fruit, chicken, fish and some red meat - all low in fat.

Finally - please remember to relax - easier said than done, I know, but stressing about getting pregnant can actually reduce your chances!

Good luck and best wishes!

Don't worry, it will happen soon.
I myself have been trying to conceive for the past 2years and still have hope. I have been seeing a specialist, which told me nothing was wrong but could still help me. I beggan with clomid to help me ovulate more with the chances of having twins, wich at this point we don't care as long as it happens.
So don't get worried, but if going to a specialist will clear your concience, then do so.
What I do know, is that after a misscariage you have to wait atleast 3months before even trying once again.
Good luck, and hope to hear from you soon with good news.

Just don't think about it seriously coz' it gives you stress. Just try to focus in your 2 years old daugther and start a new life. And if you know the answer already don't be afraid because it is just a situation that God has given you that you should accomplish in a right solution.

It takes 2 to make this work. HE may be firing blanks. No reason he should not be checked as well.
