I tried previous answers like 'start - search - gif', and programs like windows pic and fax viewer and Paint. They show a blank pic but not the image.

Try opening it with Internet Explorer. If that does not work, then you probably have a bad image. Are you just launching the programs, or are you trying to open up a specific .gif file?

Open it with Internet Explorer. If it is an anigif, it will even play.

go to satrt menu and then search......in the search box type *.gif .............u'll find the pic there!!!!

hmm I would assume paint would do that.
