Shoebox. Warranty in envelope with receipt. Date of purchase and warranty expiration date written on outside of envelope next to the name of the item purchased. First day of each month look in the shoebox.That simple.

Well, if you're old school you can use a calendar/planner and mark the dates. If more tech, than use the calendar with reminders on the computer or even the calender "extra" on the ipod. I think if you register the item with some companies they will email you a reminder as well.

I usually figure the warranty ran out after the damn thing breaks.

Put your reciept on the box of the item if possible, and date the reciept, bu putting the date when you bought the item, and keep the box, which usually has the waranty on the back of the box or the bottom.

I used to write the dates on a wall calender, forward each Jan.1. Quit doing that, because if it breaks, cheaper to buy new.

I have two big calenders in my home, one of the two I put next to my computer, and when I put information on it so that I won't forget. That is how I am aware of warrenties and the dates on certain things that may need changing.

Put them in your outlook or Palm calendar with an alarm.
