I think it really doesn't mean anything, unless you want it to mean whatever you want it to.

Nothing. Whiskey in the Jar is an old Irish folk song that people usually sang while intoxicated. So the lyrics changed over the years. You can read more about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whiskey_in_the_jar

Funniest thing ever, one of my husband's friends SWORE he was saying "whiskey in the gyro". But, it was the same guy that insisted I was wrong when I told him the lyrics to "Rock the Casbah" by The Clash indeed said ROCK THE CASBAH in them.

I think its just something they say.. lol I don't think it has a meaning.. I asked my BF and hes a metallica junkie and doesnt know what it means.... but its a great great song!
