The quick answer is pay a dork.

The cheap, but riskier, version is pay a dork off the street, or a friend who happens to be (or know) a dork.

The more expensive, but less risky, version is to pay the Geek Squad at Best Buy (i.e. professional dorks with a major corporation backing their work).

You have a good option in Windows XP to transfer all your data and even settings from any OS based computer to your new XP based one(if urs is an XP) . File transfer wizard helps you connect ur old and new computer.
Just a serail cable is enough to connect both the computers.
Do search for File transfer wizard in google.

All the best :)

To this there are several options. You could attach the files to an email and then email them to yourself and open them on your new computer. You could save them on Flash Drives that hold a lot of data, or you could do it by CD's. I'm afraid that is all I know about it, but hopefully this has helped you in some way.

depend what you have. Do you have a router, a switch? If yes, things are quite easy. Let both connected, then from the your home network to access the data each other. Otherwise, you can unload the harddisk from the current, and attach it to the new one, either via IDE, Firewire, or USB.
