All I get with this is audio. Is there a setting somewhere I have overlooked?

This happens when I am looking at a site (our church or sometimes news clips). I guess I should have mentioned that originally since I don't know if it matters

It sounds as if the video is incompatible with the player. There are a lot of free video players available such as quicktime, windows media player, etc. you can do a search for free video players as well at www.google.com or any other search engine.

Or you could be missing a codec, do a search for codecs for the particular video player that you are using.

Is the video downloaded from the internet or is the video been edited, cause normally video with bad editing or improper downloads do have such problems with media players.
I wud suggest u to take VLC player to play media files. Upto my knowledge, it is the best as it has an inbuilt repair system.

All the best :)

you likely do not have the correct "codec" to play the video you are trying to play.

If the file ends in AVI, try going to
http://www.divx.com/divx/windows/download/
and downloading the DIVX codec. This is a popular new codec used to create new videos.

missing a codec, probably divx. go to divx.com and download the divx codec and/or player. install it/them and you should no longer have a green screen when playing a video.
