My husband and I may be moving to an area where there is a small amount of gang activity. Do they just keep to themselves, or do they bother other everyday people? If we mind our business will they bother us?

I've have very often lived next to or around gang activity because it was in a place we could afford. Respect them, they will respect you. Hopefully. WE just keep to ourselves, pray and we've never been bothered. Lots of shooting and police noise at night every once in a while though.

Honestly, it depends and u need to drive around the area and scope it out, if their younger kids just tryin to be tough i dont think its much to worry about but if u see grown men portraying this 'thug' or gang image, then dont waste your time because thugs only respect people they know, and unless u have a well known family in the neighborhood who has respect then dont waste your time. my grandmother lives in a neighborhood like this but all of them respect her, and anyone who walks in her home, so dont risk it, just move somewhere better.

Why are you moving there ? most people are doing what they can to get away from those types of areas.just think if you have children or planing to you will have to worry about them someday joining a gang try to talk your husband out of it. good luck.

Come on now, why the hell would you want to move to an area that has "Gang" activity? Whether its in the ghetto, or the Italian Mafia, stay away!

It depends. They're probably on drugs and stuff. Those tweakers come around your house at like 3-4am lookin for stuff to steal. Good luck with that.

Personally I wouldnt. They may keep to them selfs but they may not. I wouldnt take the chance of getting hurt. They may not bother you directly but somehow it will lead to you.
