Highlight what you want, hold CTRL and press C(for copy), X(for cut), then go to wherever you want and hold CTRL and press V(for paste). Also CTRL+Z is undo encase you make a mistake. Try these.

it could be your mouse. If you have it on a mouse pad take it off the pad and try it flat on the desk. If you have it on the desktop with no pad i'd make sure nothing was stuck to the bottom of it. Also if the desk is creating some reflectivity it may skip around when your moving the mouse across it.

Another way to see is click where you want to start highlighting and hold the shift key on the keyboard and using the arrows on the keyboard highlight that way and when you have what you want press ctrl C. If it works then its your mouse

hmmm... that doesn't sound normal... probably from the malware you had...

but if it IS your mouse that causes the problem, check it first. also, try using your keyboard to highlight the text you need by placing the blinking text cursor on the text then hold shift+arrow keys(highlight the text you need) then ctrl+x for cut, ctrl+c for copy, ctrl+v for paste!

if all else fails and if your not a technical person and doesn't attend too much attention to stuff like registry editing, try these...

1. scan your pc for possible malwares
2. reinstall ms word
3. (last resort) format your pc... don't forget to back-up your important files!

hope that helps =)

Follow this procedure properly. it may work.

Press Shift on the keyboard and click on the starting of the text you want to copy. Then directly click on the end of the text till you want to copy. Then as usual, press Ctrl+c and then Ctrl+V to paste.
All the best :)
