I mean the top hip-hop and rap songs on the chart really suck. I like wu-tang, RZA, GZA, Jedi Mind Tricks, Eminem's OLD stuff, RJD2, Immortal Technique, Dilated Peoples, Tech N9ne, Gang Starr, Mos Deff, and so on..Artists like 50 cent, Jay-Z, Ludacris, and so on REALLY suck IMO. Does anyone else agree with me on this???

Cause it sounds like friggin pop! I've answered this question plenty of times. Hip Hop is about being simple and catchy. Everyone talks about the same thing! Songs don't tell a story anymore like they used to. Nobody listens to the words in the music, it's about the chorus that is so easy to remember and it's so catchy. I don't listen to the radio anymore, i stick to my old school. Too many candy *** pop rappers out there that just want to cash a check, they have no talent.

The music doesn't really suck. It's what they rap about that sucks. I actually think the music has improved.
Old schoolers like the Sugar Hill Gang, Run-DMC, Afrika Bambaataa, Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five, Eric B. & Rakim, Heavy D & The Boyz, Kool Mo Dee, Kurtis Blow, LL Cool J, MC Hammer, Slick Rick and Whodini didn't rap about thuggin', killin', gang-bangin' and hoes. They rapped about the one thing that Hip-Hop is all about: the PARTY. Although they did talk alot of sh!t back in the beginning (as they do now), it was harmless braggin' and boastin'. The old school mainly talked about peace, understanding and about NOT doing drugs. I do miss it.

I like how people forget that 2pac and biggie were the 50 cents of the 90's. Back then I know underground cats who couldnt stand them. If they were still alive you would hate them too. I like tru emcee'n so I would never disresect Jay or Luda. Jay can EAT any emcee out their still & Luda is sick with words (check "War with Gods" if you think im lyin')

Im sure ill get a bunch of thumbs downs because I disagree your opinion but thats the truth. by the way Mos Def is spelled with 1 "f"

That's true, and they cuss every other word and call women ho's, I just can't dig that.Plus, these days it's all about the "bling", the art is less important; it seems that way in every genre though.
