I'm getting a Min Pin and I want to learn a bit more about them. How do they behave? Are they good with children,strangers,and older people? Are they aggresive toward strangers and children?

I have a min pin.... she is an older dog but very protective over me, she hides from kids but usually depends if u get them as a puppy how u raise them will reflect on that... mine has never been aggressive just only when someone approaches me she growls if she doesn't know them... I personally don't have kids but have a 4yr old neice and she doesn't like them.. most smaller dogs don't like kids cause they feel threatened. But they r easy to train if u get them as a puppy, teach both the kids and dog that its ok to be around each other reward them for giving them love. Good luck hope this helps. Amanda

I have an 11 year old Min Pin and he doesn't like people outside of my immediate family. You will need to start socializing him with children and others as soon as you get him so he will be used to them. Mine is very independent and he thinks that he is a giant. Even though he is 11 he still likes to play fetch even though he is just a bit slower now then he used to be. He has a lot of trouble standing for long periods of time and he also stumbles a lot, but I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world.

We have one and he thinks he is a Great Dane when it comes to defending the house. He is not very tolerant of our two year old grandson so I keep them apart. He is also very defensive when it comes to people he does not know. They are usually one person dogs, and have little use for anyone else in the house. My was very easy to train and they are super smart. Good Luck !

they aren't good with childern and they are bitters and barkers. you need to read and get on this net and read about dogs and which is good for kids one breed if you want big ones is golden retrievers or labordore retrievers. they are goo d for children. but the smaller breeds are good for kids also butyou have to make sure thekids dont' hurt them.
