Cannibal Holocaust. Its not scary, to me, but its pretty damn gory. It was banned in America

I also recommend Hellraiser (again not scary to me but thats because I have a crush on Pinhead)

Evil Dead is more funny than scary but still quality

Dawn of the Dead (remake)

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (remake) and NO TCM IS NOT REAL! Look up Ed Gein and you will see what happened damn it.

Saw (all of them) are fantastic movies

The Hills Have Eyes (both remake and original)

28 Days Later

Fear.Com

Silence of the Lambs (just because its a classic)

Darkness Falls (just a good movie)

The Serpent and the Rainbow

Skeleton Key

The Lake County Incident. It's about a whole family who are being terrorized by aliens on Thanksgiving night. The whole movie is filmed with a handcamera just like in The Blair Witch Project. Actually, The Lake County Incident was made a few years before The Blair Witch Project. Don't watch this movie alone, it's very scary.

In my opinion, it isn't scary. I usually squirm when watching horror movies, so that's saying something. It was a little scary for me however, because I initially thought it was a real documentary of real teens, but then I eventually found out it wasn't. So with the knowledge of this documentary actually being a mockumentary, you should be fine. I even think you'll be a little bored and unimpressed since you love horror movies and your sister never gets scared, but it's still interesting. Hope you have fun with your sis! P.S. I think the only reason why the movie is rated R is because of the language. I don't remember anything other than that making the movie R-worthy.

Try watching Asian Horror Films (if you don't mind reading subtitles). Instead of just relying on Special effects and gore for cheap thrills (like most American "scary" movies these days), they make truly creepy, disturbing, yet artistically beautiful films that crawl under your skin and stay there. If you want a good scary movie that you could understand, try Final Destination (the first one. The other 2 are kind of more for show and lose some of the story). I've watched Horror movies since way before i should've ;P and that's the first one that really creeped me out and actually gave me nightmares. I still consider it the scariest movie ever made, or at least that i've ever seen.
