My friend cleans houses for a living- Apparently one of her clients had a super bowl party yesterday and instead of trying to clean up some she left it all for my friend to do today..

I would totally just walk out...

I am a supervisor for a major cleaning company. It sounds like it is unfair but we all have a job to do. I would tell her that she needs to focus and get the job done. If she thinks this is hard she can have my job. I have a full crew that does every county building here and we do all the carpets and floors. I have about 119 cleaners and 2 floor crews. I also am on the road every day.

No. I don't mean to sound insensative toward your friend, but I used to clean houses for a living too and that's just part of the job. They mess it up and she's got to clean it, that's what she's getting paid to do.

I own a small cleaning co. and we clean high end condos. My girls [ they are all 50+] have a clause more trash more cash ! If the clients don't like it fine we have more than enough work.

That's what she's suppose to do . If that's how she earns her living,no matter how bad it is. That would be like someone cleaning the house before the maid got there to do it. If I was going to clean up like that I would'nt need the maid.

I wouldn't quit, but I wouldn't clean up the super bowl party mess. I'd clean everything else around it, unless she's getting hansomely compenstated for the extra work.

I wouldn't quit. All jobs have their good days and bad days. If she does a bang-up job with cleaning up after those filthy pigs, hopefully she'll get a big tip!

I think the client should have AT LEAST picked up the minor stuff--cans,wrappers etc.,out of common courtesy.

Nope, that's what she's paid to do - that's the whole point. You can either clean it up yourself or pay someone to clean it up. This person has chosen to pay someone to clean it up.

dude, i would so quit...
a housekeeper/cleaner is normally paid for tidying and normal housekeeping... vacuuming, dusting... you get the idea...

NOT... cleaning up after a bunch of lazyazzes...

i would ask for a little bit extra that day or walk out...

that's straight up rude.
