The Mediator series by Meg Cabot is humerous and paranormal (ghosts).
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer is now out in paperback and is a great vampire story. Not Terry Pratchett type humor but more understated. There are some funny parts.
The Xanth books by Piers Anthony. Start with A Spell for Chameleon. The books have a lot of puns and such in them and I think they would appeal to a Terry Pratchett fan.
Moon Called and Blood Bound by Patricia Briggs. These urban fantasy books have both werewolves and vampires in them and a bit of humor.
Hope that helps!

Sunshine by Robin McKinley is a fresh, contemporary take on the vampire story.
Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause is a good werewolf story -- the book seems very different from the new movie.
Laughs and a good story are Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum books.
Sounds like Neil Gaiman is right up your alley -- mild horror with humor.
The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova is the quintessential vampire novel -- it seems long but it reads quickly, never boring.
Anne Rice has good stories, but her books are overwritten, IMHO. Too many words for the story she tells, too much description of place and not much action.
Good, cheap reads are also James Patterson, John Grisham, Michael Crichton.

The Nancy Drew Series is scary, and fun. I read them all the time. Also "In the Eyes of the Amaryllis" By Natalie Babbit is scary too. "The Secret Garden" By Frances Burnett is enchanting. Also, "Series of Unfortunate Events" By Lemony Snicket is good. Lois Lowry books are fun too. "Try Find a Stranger, Say Goodbye." Try those!

1987 Bram Stoker's award.Swan Song-956 pages, but it was one of those books that just didn't let go. Not so much Vampires and Werewolves, more along the lines of Good and Evil durning a Nuclear War. Check out the link

You'd probably like 'Fluke' or "I know why the caged whale sings" by Christopher Moore. All his books are funny, and very interesting. Also, try Carl Hiasen. Enviromental Comedy/Mysteries.
