No it wasn't. Actually the movie was basically a rip off of Cannibal Holocaust (very gory movie, banned in the US i believe). The people who were in the movie got up on MTV after the movie came out and i think said they were sorry about making everyone think they were dead. I don't remember because I didn't really care. Anyway no it wasn't real.

No, there was nothing true about it. The whole marketing strategy was that it was true. That was only to sell a very poorly made, very poorly acted film. But somehow, as usual, some believe anything, especially if it is a bit esoteric.

There is no legend of a Blair witch, there was no real tape, it is a hoax.

It was, supposedly a true event. But the movie was a replication of the real video that was found. The actors in the movie were not the actual people who went searching for the Blair Witch. They are actors that are re-enacting the video tape.

The entire thing was promoted as true. It was fake. Simple evidence - everyone died in that movie or was never seen again, yet the stars of the movie promoted it on Jay Leno. It was nothing more than a movie.

No. The area they got "lost" in (Seneca Creek State Park) is only about 12 miles wide at it's biggest. It be really hard to get lost for days and days in there.

it was as real as it was planned. This isn't the first film to do this.
And it certainly isn't the best. The actors had to dissapear for a few months before the film was released other wise it would of ruined the film .

Those people really did go out in the woods and they really were never seen again and the tape really was recorded, but many people think the kids faked it.
