I wont mention the groups name because Yahoo might censor this question as the have done already . But they have cat in its name . What concerns me is there image and lyrics and the fact that there merchandise marketed to young girls like clothing . We have parents bringing there young daughters to concerts to watch grown woman gyrating on stage. We read in the papers alll the time about childhoood disappearing and the fear of predatory peadophiles yet kids get exposed to this.

Im not stating that kids dressing up like this group could be an excuse for child molesters . I respect that teens need freedom to choose what music they follow but im talking about 7 year olds . Surely there should be dreaming of fairies or am i being to sensitive?

Yes, I know who you're talking about. I think parents are taking a backseat to the media here. Its quite disturbing to hear a four year old child in the backseat singing "don't cha wish your girlfriend was a freak like me".

But take heart. There was talk of creating dolls of these "Dolls" and some parents actually cried foul and it was scrapped.

No I personally don't think they are suitable for young girls but I feel your question sort of excuses peadophiles and people that abduct children which it doesn't. But who are we to judge what parents let children do. How would you like if you were a parent (because I din't know if you are) and someone judged what you allowed your daughter to do you would be hurt and angry!

i think that this is a decision that individual parents have to make...if you feel like your child is mature enough to know that what they see on tv and hear in songs is not necessarily what they should do, then there is no problem...i grew up listening to popular music and my music was not chosen for me by my parents...i am 26, have a master's degree, my own house, car, etc...the point is, the music that i listened to did not influence me to act or think in a certain way because i had a good upbringing and i was taught to think for myself

I agree, it only leads to trouble. The young girls want to dress like them and behave older from age 10 and they copy their idols. I'm sure alot of it is record company lead 'sex sells' and all that but they have some responsibilty.

I know what you mean, that isn't right at all, they are not even a pop group either, they are a r&b group that dabble in hip-hop. That sort of "music" (that being rap, r&b and hip-hop) should not be exposed to anyone.
