Rhodes had 113 yds rushing and 1 TD
Manning 240+ passing yds 1 TD 1 INT 1 FUMBLE

Has anyone ever won the Super Bowl MVP comitting 2 turnovers (even though the botched hand-off really wasn't his fault)

I think that Rhodes and Addai should have shared the MVP trophy before I give it to Manning.I believe there has been an MVP that did this.Terry bradshaw fumbled once and threw an interception in SB XIII and won MVP

I think Rhodes/Addai co-MVPs would have been better . Rhodes had an unbelievable game considering he rushed for over a hundred yards against the bears. Addai picked up a lot of needed first downs as well.

Also to a lesser extent Colts DB Hayden with his Int return for a TD since it was that final blow to the Bears.

But Peyton is one heck of a play caller which contributed to Addai and Rhodes success and they only had one car to give away!

I can totally see where you are coming from and I made that argument with about five minutes remaining, but honestly, if you watch Peyton Manning, he is the offensive coordinator of the team. The way he ran that offense out there and how he was so unselfish with the ball by having it run a lot, I think Peyton deserved it hands down. With that Bears D, I just don't see the Colts winning unless they have a strong mind like Peyton back there. You make a great argument, but I think Peyton did in fact deserve it with Rhodes a closs second.

Rhodes and/or Addai should have got the MVP. Remember that the MVP is voted on so popularity is important. Without the backs colts would have been murdered in that game. I like Manning and I will give him the benefit of the doubt that the rain hampered his performance, but it did not hamper those two guys performances.

I thought Rhodes and Addai should have been co-MVP's. You're right though, Manning had just an okay game, especially by his standards. Without Rhodes and/or Addai the Bears defense would have shut Manning down.

I agree.

Rhodes played better than anyone on that field last night.

I told my dad that Rhodes should be the MVP, and my mom said Peyton would get it.

Go figure.

Listen here without payton manning then the colts wouldn't have even got to the superbowl, no he didn't have his best game out there but who can when it is pouring down rain all the way through
If payton wasnt there they would have lost and if they have some sorry running backs then they would have lost but it's over and there is nothing you can do about it now. so good luck next year

Um.. dont forget playing in heavy rain all day long is a big disadvantage to the QB.

let me ask you this.. would the Colts have had a better chance of LOSING that game without Manning or without Rhodes?
