A psychic successfully 'guessed' the date of birth of my friends baby before she was even pregnant. Surely that couldn't have been coincedence. What say you?

There is significant scientific evidence for some kind of extrasensory perception in all humans. Ganzfeld testing, where participants are placed in a state of sensory deprivation and asked to "broadcast" random images to a receiver person in another room, has yielded some very intriguing results (Radin 2006:115-125). There is also evidence for precognition. In tests where a monitored participant was subjected to either pleasant or unpleasant images, the participant reacted measurably BEFORE the negative image was presented. This suggests that we are able to anticipate certain events, however subconsciously, and thus can mentally prepare ourselves for trauma (Bierman and Radin 1997).

Taking all this on board, it seems possible that there may be certain individuals who have a heightened version of this ability. Personally, I believe in precognition and remote viewing but I am sceptical about some medium/spiritualist abilities. I think it is possible to have a genuine gift, but also to be genuinely gifted in reading a persons body language and willingness to suspend disbelief. There are a lot of charlatans out there who spoil things for the real deal.

Yep, everybody has some degree of psychic ability. For example, most people can tell when somebody is staring at them. Anybody who is extremely psychic will usually have a particular psychic skill that they are strong in. I have predicted births and deaths accurately on many occasions, so it is very possible that the psychic you speak of has this particular talent also. It is very unlikely that the premonition was a coincidence or a good guess because the odds are way against that. This person sounds like the real deal.

sure i've got faith in psychic potential. It would not relate completely to lifeless people. it relatively is an potential to sign in issues which maximum poeple won't be able to sign in, and might relate to many stuff. some psychics can tell what's happening now with people who're alive. I even have by no potential had a psychic journey knowingly, different than whilst 9/11 befell. as quickly as I heard the information, I knew that the perpetrators have been the yank government, even in the previous I heard something approximately their tale. Later examine has proved that i became into the superb option.

I have to believe in Psychics as i am one and have been since i was younger.

A true physchic should not charge as her abilities are a gift and should be used to help people rather than for her own gain. But some still do.

This was not a coincidence. There a lot of truly gifted people out there but whether there willing to accept this gift is up to them.

If you want to look further into it try contacting your closest Spiritualist organisation.

We are all psychic, but for the majority the gift or the belief has been long knocked out of them. Educated out is another way of looking at it. Many professional psychics have grown up in a psychic friendly environment. Perhaps a grand-parent or parent with the knowledge has helped bring the extra sense out in the open and encouraged its use. But there are as many practicing psychics who have not had the benefit of caring psychic guidance and who have still managed to develop and hone this natural extra sense.

I have never seen an example of psychic phenomonon that could not be shown to be false. There have been thousands of attempts to try and recreate these phenomonon under strict scientific conditions and none have sucseeded.

It does give people something to beleive in though. I see it more as part of the entertianment industry along side magicians.

From your use of the word 'guessed', I'm thinking you don't believe. Perhaps, 'predicted' would have been a better choice.
Of course, there's nothing wrong, if you don't believe.
I mean, why should people be expected to put their faith in something that can't be proven?
Maybe it was just a coincidence.
I hope the baby's doing fine.:-)

Yes. Believe me. Psychic ability is a gift from God though may sometimes seem like a curse.
