Here's my problem. My wife has long hair that gets tangled in the roller of a vacuum and it ends up destroying the vacuum motor. Do they make rollerless vacuums? What is a name brand and where can i get one please?

This is bizarre - I was going to ask that very question - I have long hair and my daughter does too and I get sick of the rollers getting stuck and having to cut out the hair. I hope you get some decent answers!

Most of your newer vacuums have a switch on them for bare floor use and it shuts the rollers off. Check out Bissell and Hoover. Any department store can help you find a vacuum where the roller shut off.

there would be no way to vacuum if there weren't any rollers...how would you move it? i don't think gliders have been creatd yet. but then ther are those swiffer things that suck up dirt but they arent for carpets...
