Oh yes. I watch the young and the restless, bold and beautiful, as the world turns, and guiding light. My bf watches passions and he tries to get me to watch it but i tell him i have 2 many to keep up with as it is now.

Yes you can if you keep watching it and it has a story that you like and they leave it hanging for the next day to find out what happens. You can get hooked on anything that you watch, not only soap operas.

ya i remember watching General Hospital as a child with my mom. I still keep up with it, if i cant watch it i read the recaps. The good thing about soaps is they generally dont get cancelled and there is a rich history with the main families.

I was once for 6 months... I would watch the ABC soaps... AMC, One live to live and General Hospital... I would even tape the shows if I wasn't going to be home...
After awhile I realized that they just kept recycling the same story lines over and over... I got bored and stopped watching...

Yes, that's why I stopped watching them. I got stressed about keeping up with them and grew anxious wanting to know what was going to happen the next day. I just couldn't take it anymore!
