Personally, I'd say he deserved to start but unfotunately there is a large portion of voters that have no idea what they are voting on. For instance, Shaq was named a stater after only playing in four games at the time. It's even worse in baseball and hockey. I've always believed that the voting system should be 50% by the players and the coaches and 50% fan voting.

absolutely yes. the players need to voted by coaches and players not the fans. can you imagine if the fans were given the ability to lets say, pick the players being drafted? i know the fans have the right to see who they want in the all-star game, but c'mon we are not better judge of talent than coaches. steve nash should be the starting point guard for the west and the entire league for that matter.

both have performed ok so a strategies this season yet i imagine Nash has been extra consistent while Paul has had a pair of so-so video games. i imagine Nash could commence interior the West and Rajon Rondo could commence interior the East. although, i imagine Chris Paul and Gilbert Arenas will be voted in through the followers. Gilbert Arenas sucks. 12 turnovers! Ha!

Yes. It's as ridiculous as Shaq starting for the East after playing only 8 games so far this season.

Yeah, because the retarded fans vote for the allstars. How else would Yao Ming start every year and get more votes than anyone else? China has got more people than U.S. and Canada, thats how.

Absolutely not, the fans vote for the starters and based on the votes, we(fans) did not think he should have started.

Did he deserve to start? Of course.

Did the fans, who pay these salaries, want to see him start? I guess not.
