Look for Lonely Planet - Brazil. I could give you many tips and I suppose to see my country almost like a foreigner (I live in Brazil, northeast of Brazil, and also have lived for a long time in the extrme south Porto Alegre, next to Uruguay and Argentina). If you tell me about some others travels, and about what you expect and liked to enjoy in Brazil. Sorry for not writting english well. If you write in spanish, it is good, for it is too much similar to brazilian portuguese language. Of course, I just could give some tipos , evn a lot of information, if you are a traveller not so diferent from my way of travel. I do not be in groups, for example. Ah! Take too much care: risk of robber and even life. If you ara note accostummed to travel alone in countries like Brazil, It is better to enter in a torurism group, although you will lose the best, to walk am9ong the people, try the true flavour of brazilian food, too much rich (diversified), mainly in Pernambuco, where still exists a popular carnival, not that commecial thing you see on TV, Rio de Janeiro, etc. Arghhh!...Even Bahia is already to much commercial and, so, artificial, not a genuine popular event (carnival, sao joao, natal, etc). Good luck!
