Christy M. You are a young, naive girl. How old are you? I'm 38. First off, to answer the question, like the other person said, not a damn thing, cause I think it's a hoax, which quite frankly, insults our intelligence. If there is any increase in average temperatures, it's not due to any significant degree by humans, but more so by solar spots in the sun. The sun is like a continuous nuclear explosion, and the temperature of the sun varies over time. The effect CO2 has on temperature of the earth is negligible, IMHO.

OKay first I think you already know what global warming is but aparently the people above me DOn't!. So let me explain it in laymans terms:

All our cars, buildings, etc etc. let off CO2. Since we have so much stuff running on fuels etc. we have tons of CO2 in the air!. CO2 absorbs the suns rays thus making it hotter than ever. The polar ice caps are melting and WHEN the ice caps melt completely the water level is gonna rise and put part of our countries under water!! And yes it does exist! So much has already melted. That if we don't do anything soon, our world will change within the next 50 years to a decade.

If you want to learn more, go to stopglobalwarming.org.

And maybe the reason people don't think it exist is because the government isn't doing anything about it, well thats because they are making alot of money on all these oils and fuels we use. And its expensive to make everything run on solar power. I fear for our childrens futures. and the president who is gonna be presented with this problem when it will probably be too late to find a solution. So you stupid bastards above me who don't care about global warming, I wish you were young enough to be be faced with this BIG problem in 50 years.

I am not one bit concerned about "global warming". I',m not personally doing anything to make a difference.

Last week, Oklahoma, along with many other states, experienced a "global icing" that left many without power, isolating many communities and individuals and sending hundreds to Red Cross, Salvation Army, and other shelters. Global Warming would have been a godsend to these devastated areas!

The scientific community has to have something to do, though, don't they? Educators have to have a cause. Lawyers wouldn't be in business without divorce, tax, DUI's, bank robberies, etc.

When I believe "global warming" is a real threat to my living or livelihood, I might consider giving up my cigarettes, driving my car, burning my fireplace, cooking. Cripes! My own body heat may be contributing to "global warming". I may even have to give up making love: Too much warmth!

I am not concerned about global warming because I do not believe that it exists. I am doing absolutely nothing to make a difference and have no plans to.
