About coming of age, like 'sleepover or 'mean girls' but something else. Preferably certificate 12A as it is for my sister and our Dad is particular about that. Soemthing nice.

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants...I LOVE that movie!!!

Oh, and Caroline1, you're talking about the movie "Crossroads". Not that great...but an option still.

I also really love "Center Stage," or "Now and Then".

If you can stand it, Crossroads with Britney Spears...it is kinda cute...

the Hilary Duff movies, The Amanda Bynes movies, the one with Colin Firth was really cute about the girl who finds out her dad is an English Lord, some of the Mandy Moore movies, The Princess Dairies, both versions,

An older one that is cute is Girls Just Want To Have Fun, starring a very young Sarah Jessica Parker...

Also, Can't Buy Me Love, which has a very young Dr. McDreamy from Grey's Anatomy in it that plays the nerdy guy in love with the popular girl...old but cute...

Sixteen Candles, Pretty In Pink, Some Kind of Wonderful, The Pick Up Artist and The Breakfast Club...with the exception of Sixteen Candles, these are a little darker and maybe AA rated...check the DVD box...

Clueless, is always a fave of mine as well...

I really did enjoy the Lindsay Lohan version of Freaky Friday...

My ten year old is having Herby Fully Loaded and Dreamer at her party this month...

When my friends and I were 12, about 174 years ago approximately, we watched Grease, Fame, Flashdance, Footloose and all those kinds of movies...

Good luck and have fun!

There is no such thing as a good chick flick, hence why a movie is deemed a chick flick.

If it were a good movie it wouldn't be categorized as a chick flick.

you should try cinderella story or never been kissed or gidget. Gidget is from 1959 but it is a really cute story about a young teen who falls in love with a boy who she thinks will never like her. [basically like every other chick flick]
