No, for the most part they are ordinary people. I know because my Mom is a librarian, and several of the women she works with are laid back. There is only one who never bends the rules, and she drives the others crazy.

(i'll keep the volume down). They must copy right what the book says and shelve any ideas of diverting from the plot. Otherwise they may be made to eat their words if they can't get their story straight and be on borrowed time at work.

They are bound to receive the rules, bend them and enforce them. That's why they keep quiet about it.They could get a lashing if they speak up ;)
