I am asking this b/c many people don't think that they're that good of a team. Not to mention that many fans just feel like the Bears let the Colts "have the game".

Yes. Ive been a colts fan for a looong time, and it was tough. But I always believed in them and knew that one day they would be superbowl champs. A bad team does not win 13 or 10 consecutive games. They've been sruggling with their defense for the past few years, but its gotten better. Thats always been their biggest issue in my opinion, but hey, with an opposing QB ike Rex, who neends defense??? LOL...But the Colts were NOT given the game! They won fair and square.

I've been a Colts fan for like five years now and I've always believed in the Colts because I believed in Peyton Manning. The team overall isn't great; I think the Offence should be the Defense and the other way around. I don't think the Bears let the Colts "have the game" because they both put forth enough effort to win and the better team won. If anybody won that game, they'd know the Bears let the Colts "have the game". As a Colts fan, I can say that the Bears put up an awesome fight especially how they started the game.

Of the two teams in the SB, the Colts were by far the best and most balanced. Their defense kicked it up a notch or two in the post season and carried that through to the SB. The offense didn't play to their regular season stats but they didn't have a meltdown like they have in past post seasons.

They won because they played as a team and no one player was the star. That formula has worked well for the Patriots in recent years and proved successful for the Colts too.

The Bears have the defense but the offense is sorely lacking. I think they were lucky to make it as far as they did with the QB they have. It may have turned out differently if they would have went with Greise but we'll never know. Grossman is a lot like Jake Plummer, he has shades of brilliance but more often than not he has makes too many mistakes for his team to overcome.

A player has to consistent or they will not succeed. Peyton Manning had been like that the past several seasons changing from Jekyll to Hyde from regular season to the playoffs. This year he slipped a little on performance but not enough to "choke" as he has in the past.

The Patriots should have been playing in that super bowl. But they had a total meltdown for the first time in their Belichick era. With credible WR's and a healthy secondary New England would have been playing in that super bowl. As far as the Colts they were not the best team in the NFL this year. Sub-Par defense, and a very good offense. Played a sloppy game against a sloppy team last night. Lucky they won.

Absolutely the best team. Look who they beat to get there. The AFC is way above the NFC. The last 8 of 10 won by AFC. In the playoffs they stopped the running game of KC. Played a defensive game and beat the Ravens in Baltimore, came back after way down to the Patriots. I think they will be the favorite next year. Manning is in his prime, and now they have the monkey off their backs for not being able to win the *Big game".

The bears did not lose on purpose. The Colts always were good they finally got over that hump in the playoffs. The only problem was there defense was small and not that powerful, but they still had a good finesse defense.

All along I said they had the best chance to win the superbowl because they are the most explosive team. Alot of people doubted them because of their defense, but if a team like Indy gets hot they are unstoppable as we saw.

Colts had their usual good year but had problems with defense in regular season but made adjustments in playoffs and it paid off
