Just don't over do it
Otherwise you will end up looking like a clown
I would suggest to do the natural look. Keep it simple but sexy.
Good Luck

Focus on your favourite features - if you have nice eyes focus on the eyeliner and mascara, its worth paying a little extra for a good mascara - I like Maybelline because its a good quality mascara a bit more expensive that Rimmell but cheaper that L'oreal) Make sure you look after your eyebrows too, they enhance the eyes.
If your lips are voluptious then go to town on them - experiment with colour, I recommend the lower price bands like Rimmell and Boots Naturals as they have a range of colours and cheap enough to try a few.
If you have small eyes then concentrate on your lips and vice versa
Spend money on a good foundation if your skin worries you.
Have fun experimenting

You dont need to use all those things. Decide which features you like best, and use them to enhance it. If you think your eyes are your best feature, then use some eyeline to open them up, a colour that wont clash with your skin, and will go with your outfit, and mascara to frame it.
But always have naturally shaped and plucked eye brows, and then lip gloss. If you are in doubt, go to a department store, and visit one of the counters and they will be able to help you. I wouldnt buy their products, unless there is something you really like. It is very expensive, but it lasts a long time if you use it right and treat it well.
Good luck

You really have to remember that makeup is only meant to enhance, not change. So when applying make up choose your best feature. If its your eyes do a sex smokey eye with smudge blue or black eyeliner and mascara. Or if its your lips, try a really beautiful berry or even red color that matches your skin tone. But remember if you do one feature down play the rest, you don't want to end up looking like a clown.
Good luck!

Less is more. I don't usually promote products but I swear by Aveda dual performance. It is like a foundation and a powder all in one. It looks so natural and that is what you want in makeup. Choose soft tones and don't use to much. Light color lipstick with (mild) gloss. The worst is those Big Red greasy looking lips. Soft and subtle is beautiful.

You have to know how to apply it correctly so you don't look like a "cake face." :)
And you have to remember to balance your colors- if you do heavy and/or colorful eyeshadow/eyeliner, you should not have bright red lips, etc.
And please watch out for clumps in your mascara, there's nothing less attractive than clumps in a girl's eyelashes.
Good luck!

As the others have stated- "less is more" with makeup!
Subtlety and using colours which fit to your skin type, your eye, hair and lip colouring are crucial.
Personally when my nearly15 year old asks what she ought to wear I say- no makeup at all. For why? Because I am a non-understanding mother? No- because I know that if you cake skin up you will suffer for it!
A. And because there is nothing worse than seeing badly applied foundation which is 1) the wrong colour, 2) powdery where it ought to have a bit of shiny glow and greasy looking where it ought to matt your skin.
If you have blemished skin it too will not thank you for covering it up. If you have to wear foundation go for a light and none pore clogging one and remember- it only lasts for a specific period and ought never to be "shared" with others. Get your own, try it out on your jaw line (back of the hand is good but not REALLY good enough) and spend as much as you can on it. Foundation covers so much of your skin that it really pays to invest in quality (OK so while "you only get what you pay for" holds true here you can get good and not too dear products too!).
Why not consider NOT using a foundation and instead go for a cover stick for just little issues like a pimple cover? I have this most gorgeous and really dear thing called "Touche Eclat" by YSL which I swear by- a stick with a brush which puts a very fine and oh so nice touch of covering colour to key areas (black circles under eyes for example)
B. Blusher? Sorry- that product is a total waste of time! If you do not use foundation (and I still one ought to think twice before using it) then you do not need blusher. Again- blusher is used to accentuate your natural cheekbones to "lift" them out of your cheeks. Unless you are a pro you are likely to make a real dog's dinner of that product! Leave it to a pro and then only if the person they are making up is not going to be trying to look pretty close up. It SHOWS. Looks nice on models on a catwalk, is essential for folk in front of the camera and looks swish on a Vogue spread but THAT is IT.
C. Concealer- see above under foundations. Best product but do watch that you get one which is going to help whatever you are concealing. No good having a pimple concealer if you have a patch of eczema!
D. Eye shadow? Now here you can have some fun. Remember- eyes are a central focus and you WILL attract more attention to that part of your face and so it needs to be subtle to look "pretty". Looking "pretty" with make up is also about suitability. No good going to school with a dark blue eyeshadow suited for the low lights of a disco! Again- look at fashion trends and make sure that you are not looking at what looks good on a 30 year old brunette with pulled back straight hair if you are a 15 year old curly haired redhead!
E. Mascara... Now I see no reason for anyone to wear mascara (OK so I am a natural blonde with dark eyelashes which do not need it, but even so...) except where it is used for a little while and is not going to compromise your lashes. Now, I am sure you know that hair is dead but needs looking after. This is true for the hair on your scalp AND for your eyelashes (and brows although we do not mistreat them quite as much).
Mascara, like foundation, ought to be as expensive and as wisely used as you can afford to do. Do NOT keep one bottle for years and years even if it is your fav. It stops being good to apply. Consider the effects of constantly painting your face with a face paint on your skin. Yep- dries it out. Now MASCARA has many of the same properties as that in that it is high pigmentation and seldom designed to be GOOD for hair. Just to DO a job and create an effect.
;-)
Instead consider using an eyeliner or even look into having them dyed. Eyelash and eyebrow dyeing is something you do occasionally and is therefore less of a problem. Besides- you do not have to be so regimental about removing it, it doesn't "clump" and looks NATURAL.
If you do wear it be good about washing it off and apply it thinly to "colour" your lashes rather than extend them- that looks fake and not "pretty" unless you like that sort of thing.
If you choose eyeliner be good about removing it too! Anything which is designed to make up our faces needs to be removed carefully and then the skin will need pampering.
Have fun!

It all depends on the way the makeup is applied.
No matter what the color is nor the brand, it won't look good if it was not applied well. But don't forget that less makeup is definitely more.
Your natural look is still your real beauty. :)
