I said it all along that you need a quality QB to WIN the superbowl.

Dallas, Philly, the Saints, and maybe he the seahawks all would have kept that game alot closer (at least felt closer) then the Bears did.

The bears were in the Super Bowl because they earned it, its that simple. If any of those other teams would have given the Colts a better game then they would have playing in the Bears place last night. The bears were the best team in the NFC this year weather anyone wants to accept it or not. They had the best record, beat the hottest team in the NFC (N.O. Saints), and beat a Seattle team who I felt were coming on at the right time. They were there for a reason and were the only team that had a shot of beating Indy period. No other team had a defense as good as the bears that would've kept them in the game until the 4th quarter.

I definately feel like the Eagles, with McNabb or Garcia would have put up a better game. I also think that the Saints would have been a better matchup.

But saying all that, the Bears earned the right to be there. Teams with bad QB's have made it to the super bowl before (Giants, Ravens, Redskins) so you don't need a stellar QB to get there, but it definately helps.

any of those teams could have given the Colts a better game. The Bears defense was overrated all year long. They aren't as good as the Ravens D of 2000, or the Bears of 1985. The Colts exploited them all night long. But, it was Grossman who cost them the game, just like I, along with most people outside of the Windy City, said he would. He's too mistake-prone and it cost them last night.

Most of the best teams were in the AFC this year, as evidenced by the interleague play results

None. The NFC has sucked for the last decade, much like the AFC sucked for the decade prior to this one.
