How can I make a good Movie Script?

I have a movie idea but what are some ways that i can make a good movie scritps

Study a few other's diligently and then start to write your own.

Their are a few basic methods professionals stick by. I will give you some and list sources you can research.

1. Start with a great story - (one your passionate about)

2. Build history and "back-story" for characters

3. Write an outline - this could be anywhere from 1 page to 60

4. Build a structure for the script - in 3 acts
a) ACT 1 pages 1 - 30
b) ACT 2 pages 31 - 60
c)ACT 3 pages 61 - 90

Within this structure, you will only include the scene, main characters and thier actions or situations. You can write them on index cards and post them on the wall in order. This will help when you begin writing so you can take the cards down as you go. ONLY include basic info - no dialouge leave that for later.

Example : Act - Scene One , INT. Diner - Night

Charley - walks into the diner and notices pat. Her right arm is
bleeding. A fight breaks out. Pat is rushed to the hospital. Charley follows behind in his car.

5. Remember to include "PLOT POINTS"
This is very important to the pacing and dynamic of the screenplay. Plot points are moments in the story where the main character is spun or thrown into a conflict.

If u can try to get your hands on some software like - movie magic or final draft. this will help you with format and make your life much easier.

Finally, write, write, write.

These are basic rules to abide by but there are different styles out there. Most go by these. You will still need some help So check my references out, God be with u!

In my personal opinion, life experiences lead to the most interesting stories. Start with an outline of an experience and build from there. The neat thing about re-viewing those experiences is that you are able to reflect on what really happened, possibilities of other outcomes, and you control the ending...or, the journey! Good luck!
