It's not common, but only one person did it. Chuck Howley, linebacker from the Dallas Cowboys won the MVP, even though they lost to the Colts in Super Bowl V. He had 2 INTs and a fumble recovery.

So that makes the Colts the only team to win 2 Super Bowls, but with only one MVP.

Yes. As some of the more intelligent people have already stated. The problem here is when people open their mouth without understanding the rules of the game. Such as when Pittsburgh lost a game due to a 10 second run off of the clock for a penalty inside the last 2 minutes.

If you're going to make a comment about a game. Understand the rules first, then you might not look like an IDIOT the next time.

Yes but it's only happened once. Chuck Howley of the Cowboys did it against the Colts. He had one of the best defensive games in Superbowl history. If i'm not mistaken he returned two interceptions for touchdowns.
