How many credits are applied to religious subjects in Catholic or other faith private high schools compared to public school...and how much effort is applied to science and math (biology, earth science, physics, trig, calculus) compared to public....I would imagine that religion is taught in private school, but is it in direct conflict with teaching these "hard" science courses

The schools I have been familiar with have a fairly standard curriculum (except for the inclusion of religious courses). In my experience, it is not typical for a faith-affiliated school to trivialize other subjects. After all, like public schools, these schools also have the responsibility of preparing students for life beyond high school, whether it be college or directly into the workforce.

I would guess that there might be some conflict on evolution, but this also occurs in some public school districts.

it's not right that catholic students get credits for "fairy tales" when other students actually have to learn something for their credits. oh well, when they get into the real world, they can thump their bibles all day long, while people who can add will get the jobs.
