try turning the screen on and off a few times...im having the same problem...it turns on when it wants to and sometimes it will be off for hours or it will work just fine, i suggest a new monitor.

Well... depends on what type of computer you have. If you have an apple you might want to change the amount of time before the screen goes blank. If you have a windows there is a way to do that also.

Go into your control panel and check your "power options". You may have it set up to turn off after a set number of minutes of inactivity.

Can you go into safe mode (f8 while it boots) and dos it do the same thing, if it does you have a video card going bad or video driver.
