I can totally see where you are coming from and I made that argument with about five minutes remaining, but honestly, if you watch Peyton Manning, he is the offensive coordinator of the team. The way he ran that offense out there and how he was so unselfish with the ball by having it run a lot, I think Peyton deserved it hands down. With that Bears D, I just don't see the Colts winning unless they have a strong mind like Peyton back there. You make a great argument, but I think Peyton did in fact deserve it with Rhodes a close second.

I believe that Rhodes deserved the MVP more than any other player in Super Bowl XLI.

Dominic Rhodes was instrumental in swinging the time of possession heavily in favor of the Colts. He ran for 113 yards and a touchdown, which in my eyes is equivalent to a 300+ yard passing game, which Peyton did not have. Once the Colts got the lead, it was the combo of Rhodes and Addai, but mainly Rhodes, that kept Chicago off the field.

Which, by the way, given Grossman's inability to move the ball and pension for turnoversSunday, Indy's ball control probably also helped keep the game from being an even bigger blowout because I felt that Grossman would have kept coughing it up, leading to more short field opportunities for the Colts.

I think so then again that guy that caught the interception for a TD , put the game away. But Peyton did play good too, but Dominic Rhodes should have been the MVP

Could of been Rhodes, Addai, or even the O-Line. But Peyton was NOT the MVP!!!

I think that the entire Colts team played as one and no one earned MVP honors, Peyton got it based on the fan vote, but he didn't do anything that special that he really earned it.

I don't think any one player stood out in that game. IMHO it was defaulted to the QB

Yes. . .it certainly shouldn't have been an overated qb who dumped 3 yd passes off to runningbacks who made moves and tough yards.
