Nora Roberts is my fave. Love the trilogies that she writes.

My very favorites in that category are Celeste Bradley, Julia Quinn, Eloisa James, Amanda Quick, Liz Carlyle, Jude Deveraux, Lisa Kleypas. I used to like Judith McNaught a LOT but now she writes only contemporary and I loved her historical more.

How about Judith McNaught, Nora Roberts and Susan Elizabeth Phillips. I know you said the best author, but I just can't name only one.

I like Johanna Lindsay. Especially the series on the Mallory family.

My favorite is Sherrilyn Kenyon, she writes mostly paranormal romances. I've loved her Dark Hunter series and even all her short stories.

Danielle Steele. she paints the perfect pictures in her novels. she also includes how much love can hurt in tough times.

LaVeryl Spencer- she is now retired. Most of her books are true to life with real, believable characters and plots. My favorite book of hers is Hummingbird.
