.....on the internet? I don't have problems surfing the internet but everytime I try to download something it always stays at 1% download rate.

Here's is some info about my computer and maybe that could be it or maybe not.

CPU MGz: 1300
1.RAM: 512
2. HARD DRIVE FREE SPACE: 15.8
3. HARD DRIVE USED SPACE: 3.8
4. I HAVE TIME WARNER DSL CONNECTION
5. My connection speed is at 100.00 Mpbs

Could it be my video card or what else could it be and once again I recently fomatted my computer so I'm not sure if it could be a virus problem or something because I haven't downloaded anything on the net or visited any unsecure website.

Do you have a (windows) firewall or virus checker, turn those off and try it, besure to turn them back on, i dont think it's hardware related

Check your firewall to make sure it is set to allow downloads. Also check to makesure you don't have TWO firewalls running. This is a big problem.

Also check your gateway to make sure things are setup correctly. Also, since many download sites use a Popup to denote download sizes, turn off your popup blocker (all of them) and see if this makes a difference.

this could be the problem with anti virus install on the computer is blocking the download, try resetting to default and download,
try changing firewall setting and download

Can be a firewall restriction. Or try it via download accelerator ( Flash Get, Dap)
