Well, republicans as well as democrats know that this is impossible, but republicans prefer to wait until democrats are in power to let them initiate the needed taxes to pay the debts they have gotten us into. That way they can always shift the blame. It's why they're called cons.

It could survive, but it will not be a prosperous nation. Taxes are like the ante at a poker table -- you have to pay up to play. Sadly, there has been a mindset sown into the American mentality that we don't owe anything to the society that enables us to prosper (in the form of taxation). Thom Hartmann made a great analogy for this: if you enter a 7-11 and take a candy bar off the shelf, then take a bite of it -- does that dollar in your pocket still belong to you or the store? Likewise, if we enjoy the protections and benefits that our government provides to us -- police, fire, military, courts, standard currency, inspection of meat, disease control, roads, bridges, intellectual property protection, fairly stable marketplaces, etc, etc, etc, why do we have a mentality that we shouldn't have to pay for it?

They can not survive because all countries depend on their income and this income come from taxes, duties. They can not sustain their prosperity without this taxes. They use the taxes for health, education, infrastructure

Cant do away with taxes but we could..............Dont give tax credit money to people on welfare !!!

They work very little but get huge returns. If we are giving them food stamps and medical, that money needs to go back into the government , not given to them to blow.

If they do give it to them, make them count is as income and stop their food benefits until the food allotment is used from the cash until gone

That would save billions a year or more.
