Macs are extra intense priced because they're a lot extra technologically stepped forward, have extra perfect photos, and are earlier than domicile windows through a strategies. I have a MacBook on the instantaneous (the hot one) and that i love it! I have under no circumstances had any topics with it, that is extremely quick, and definately light-weight. The battery existence is likewise very lengthy and it under no circumstances receives any viruses, no pick to purchase a virulent disease probability-free practices. once you've a versatile funds, i'd get a Macbook professional because no matter if or not they're better in length, they're astonishing pcs from what I have heard about them, yet you may no longer pick each and each and every of the coolest points it has on there , so do somewhat analyze in the previous determining to purchase or make a journey to the Apple keep and they could be at liberty to respond to your questions. also I heard Vista sucks compared to XP, so in case you pick to get a computing device, get an XP. i'd say stick with Sony and HP, as they're the total competetors with Macs. no matter if or not they're thoroughly different from computing device's, you receives used to this transition and could be at liberty interior the top together with your Mac. yet only pay attention you should spend extra on determining to purchase classes for the Mac together with Microsoft place of work in case you pick to. wish this helped and sturdy luck :)!

Get Linux! Free, much more flexible than Windows. If you buy any PC you can return the OS to MS and get a refund for it if you do not open the EULA and do not boot up the computer before reloading the OS. Linux is free for the download, and has much lower requirements than XP, much less Vista - which translates into better performance on the same hardware.

Many HP dual core units with XP Media Center are still on the shelves at Best Buy, Circuit City & Future Shop (Canada).

They include a free upgrade to Vista if purchased before March 15th.

This is the best of both worlds ... if & when you change your mind & choose to go Vista you will already have the DVD & be ready to install it at no added expense.

Hurry before they disapear !

Good thinking, avoiding a Mac!

Second, custom-building a PC would enable you to pick whatever operating system you wanted, so you may want to consider that option. I've custom built a few PC's before, they are really really easy to do and you save a lot of money by doing it yourself.

Well I ran into the same thing. I purchased one from dell and the only option was to purchase a way more expensive PC that still offered XP. Or purchase a copy of XP. When youget your new PC wipe vista off and install your purchased copy of XP. I think this selling tactic sucks. Forceing us into Vista when it has been proving, atleast not yet

A good Linux for new users is UBUNTU. It has an excellent starter guide in WIKI. Check your local computer stores for systems.
