Lets break this question into 3 parts - the first being - Going to Prison - Not a good idea really - no matter for how long you have been in - once you come out - you will always have a stigma attached to your name - not many people employ you either. Part 2 Homeless - you can become homeless due to many reasons from the bank getting hold of your house to you running away from your parental home - eventually you get back on your feet. You might be homeless but you will have better job prospects than an ex con. Part 3 being Gay - So what - guess you get turned on in a different way - you can still get a good job, get all the boyfriends you want (whether you like it sweet or rough) and have a roof over your head - so putting it all together - NO it is not a good idea going to prison if you are homeless and gay - being an ex-con is worse than all of those put together + you can't really choose your partners in prison - not much privacy.

Does anyone else find it ironic that the Roman empire is majorly resposible for Christianity being so widespead, yet the Romans openly practiced homosexuality? Fundamentalists of any religion have this awful habit of getting into everyone else's business. I'd rather have it the other way around. Gays should be beating up fundamentalists. But seriously, if someone wants to believe that being gay is against their religion, fine. It's within their rights to do so. But when they start forcing their beliefs on others that they become dangerous and should be stopped. People throw the word "Nazism" around a lot these days, but in this case, I'd say it was an accurate comparison to these acts of genocide. I can't imagine that these actions are going unpunished.

No homeless gay person I know would want to go to prison. If you're insinuating about the availability of sex, then rape would be the likely form of sex there anyway.

Rape is no more pleasant whether you're gay or straight. Much of the prison population is Hiv+, so getting a prison sentence can also become a death sentence for gay and straight men. No, No, No.

I cannot for the life of me understand why being Gay and 'going to prison' would be a good thing in that situation or indeed in any other come to that. What level are you thinking? It sounds utterley ridiculous to say the least. Being imprisoned is beyond even a last resort for any crime infact you would be in my opinion committing a crime by wanting to go to prison. If one is homeless there are better paths to go down to obtain accomodation.

NO it wouldnt be a good thing. YOu would get taken the piss out of and when you come out, you will still be in the same position as when you went in, just you'll have £90-150 which is what they give to homelesss people when they come out and you will not have moved on in any respects whatsoever. It will give you a label so you will NEVER be able to get some certain jobs and make it even harder to even get a sh!t one. Someone in there will take you for a bumboy and you will probably come out with an addiction to some kind of drug. I aint lying, i have seen it happen far too many times. ITs a depressing place to be, so dont wish for yourself to be there.

I have heard that some homeless people who get desperate, commit crimes so that they can get shelter along with square meals which is sad.

I don't think that homeless/homosexuals should go to prison... unless they have comitted a terrible crime (murder etc) just like any one else.

It is a bit narrow minded of you to think that prison would be paradise for homeless homosexuals... it is not. It can be brutal place to live regardless of your sexuality.

Don't be ridiculous! Have you heard about what happens to Gays in prison? Anyway they are too overcrowded so unless you commit murder you are unlikely to get sent there.

I dont know, what i heard is that many homosexuals are 'in' prison. Otherwise the rumours about dropping the 'soap' in the shower would of never came about.

However, most homosexuals lead normal and fascinated lifes.

Contary to poular belief, homosexual stuff is rare in prisons.
Different in womens prison though.

I've been homeless, and i didn't want to go to prison, no matter how rough i found it.
