Does it need a change of batteries ... Its a silly question but one does need to stress the importance of testing your fire alarm... I tested mine today and the battery is gone so i had to get another battery and now its working....

mad rush of people now to check... i did check mine not so long ago, but makes a very annoying beeping sound when needs changing, usually about 2 in the morning!
just think you may be saving someones life xx good on ya xx

I check all six fire alarms every month. I also put a new battery
in one each month. I even put one up next to the Christmas tree
each year. Better safe than sorry.

It's gone!
The battery's still there but the fire alarm has gone.
Silly me it must have been nicked cause I'd forgotten the batteries for the burglar alarm!

I don't have a fire alarm. I'd go and check the battery if I did.

I tried checking mine but it was on fire, I will have to assume everything is safe for now

My smoke alarm is tested every time I use the frying pan!

yes i have.just changed my battery 3 weeks ago.when they start to beep that's when you need to change the battery.good job in reminding people.
