I need a new radiator, hoses, belts, new valve, new front and rear break pads, disc, cylinders and 4 new tires. The $1500 doesn't include the 4 tires. Am I being overcharged?

OUCH- either you have run this car into total disrepair, or you need a 2nd opinion. For ALL the brake components to be bad means you really haven`t kept up repairs or someone needs to make a mortgage payment. I would attack this one componant at a time, there are several issues here, unrelated, and it may bring the cost down a bit. Take it to a tire/brake shop, a cooling A/C shop, a general repair shop, even the dealer can help. Go with who you feel comfortable with, this is a lot of money for a 10 year old car. Good luck.

When ever there is a quote this high you should ALWAYS bring it to a different mechanic for a 2nd opinion.
