Fine, you have made your point and it is your opinion. But I repeat again NO ONE deserves to die, but men / women become soldiers because they want to and they know the risks. It wouldn't be a war if people didn't die. What about all the people that Saddam killed? What about the terrorist attacks on New York and London? Are we just supposed to sit down and accept that? My boyfriend was in the first Gulf War and dealt with death and violence on a daily basis. Does he ever regret it - His words "NOT IN A MILLION YEARS it was my job and I got on with it".

Some of you on this site have the idea that joining the army takes away a soldiers rights to survive. In a war of course a soldier must do his duty and fight to protect his country. But Iraq is not a normal war, it's a cou set up not to protect this country and the people in it but to take control of something that does not belong to us (oil) and create a regime change to benefit America rather than the English. It was bitterly opposed by the people of this country and the UN, it was and is an illegal war, When a soldier gives his life he expects the war to have been thought out and balanced against the odds, he expects the right equipment and tools to do the job. Our soldiers have died though not having the right equipment or necessary strategy. This war has created such things as concentration camps, torture, killing of babies, men woman and children, nearly a million Iraqis dead and a further million with serious loss injuries. When Saddam was in power these people were alive and life went on all factions were held under control. Nobody apart from Saddam can control the people. So there is now civil war with tens of thousand more deaths to come and more British and American soldiers yet to die. I'm sorry No soldier gets high enough wage to fight for incompetence. He is not fighting for the majority of the British people because we made it clear at the start that this war was not to take place.
Blair is a war criminal and responsible for everyone of those soldiers deaths, he shold be tried as such.

Unfortunately the troops don't get a say whether they want to goto war or not. They sign up knowing that they could be sent to fight for their country at any time. Sadly the British troops that have died so far were thrown into a war by Blair, his cronies and his lies.
I hope that he is forever haunted by this, but seeing as he has no shame or conscience I doubt it.

Saddam and bush are no better then the other......... Bush is sending them to their deaths.
Let the ones come home that dont agree with the war and let all the supports go. How many supporters ever served in the armed forces

For god's sake, blair is not a criminal, he's trying to balance between the americans and the europeans. If you really think one life lost is too much you're out of touch

I agree one life is too many, just like the 56 people killed in the London bus bombings. Can you imagine if while your way to work in the tube, or bus, you're exploded into a million pieces, can you imagine dying with the thought that you died for Allah? That you were a fool to ignore the obvious threat in front of you and were too apathetic to do anything about it??
