They're just a big distraction from the game. Nothing lamer than sitting around, waiting with baited breath for the next commercial to be played. Commercials, and half time shows are for taking a leak, and getting a beer. Nothing more. uhm k?

People, people! The man isn't saying that commercials are not effective or that they are not important economic activity. They are distractions, and we act like rats, scurrying for our entertainment. Do you realize that we are *asking* to be *sold to*?

And yeah, they weren't that good either. These "clever" ads are all played out.

people who pay for the commercials pay for them because it is one of the most wastched show on TV. Where you realize it or not you are subilmonaly affected by the commericals and may be suprised to find yourself two weeks from now either remarking on the funny comments in the commerical or going to a the movie that you saw a preview for during those commercail breaks its proven scientific fact. But to agree with you the comercial breaks do provide a great oportinity to take a leak without missing anything. Or if your at a sports bar then use that time to give away **** such as jerseys, hats and TV's.

Don't much care for football or the commercials, but I got to sit through the whole thing due to company that showed up. Afterward was glad I did. Watching the silly responses of my fellow veiwers was much more entertaining than either game or the advertisements.
I will admitt that first touchdown by the Bears was pretty cool.

I totally agree. I thought Prince playing in the rain was a hoot.
Commercials were really weak this year but I liked the score and beat the spread. I'll drink to that so while you're up, get me a Bud Lite.

I liked the one where mr and mrs potato head are driving and mrs potato head is nagging mr potato head. Then he has to stop suddenly and her mouth goes flying off!LOL. The Ed McMahon MC Hammer Cash for Gold commercial was great too. Its nice to see both have not lost their sense of humor.
